Glimble is a registered trademark of Arriva and represents a platform that allows users to plan and purchase travel and services in Italy (exclusively in Friuli Venezia Giulia), the Netherlands, and some regions of Germany and Belgium. In Friuli Venezia Giulia, Glimble services are provided by Trieste Trasporti.

The platform enables users to plan and purchase combined travel and services operated by different transportation providers through a travel planner, in a pre-paid mode. Travel tickets must be validated before departure. Additionally, the Glimble app offers a post-paid option, utilizing GPS. This optional feature eliminates the need for check-in and check-out: users simply swipe at the start of the journey and swipe again at the end.

Trieste Trasporti has separate agreements with each transport operator for the resale of these services. The legal headquarters of Trieste Trasporti S.p.A. is located at via dei Lavoratori 2, 34144 Trieste, with VAT number and tax code 00977240324.

By booking a paid Glimble service, users enter into a purchase agreement under which they are required to meet their payment obligations. These terms apply to each contract concluded by a user, as an individual, when booking a paid Glimble service. Specific conditions that apply to any ongoing promotions can be viewed, where available, on the website www.glimble.it.

Glimble app

  • A smartphone running Android 5.1 or later, or iOS 11.0 or later, is required to use the Glimble app. Devices must have built-in GPS and a 3G, 4G, 5G or Wi-Fi data connection. The app is not compatible with other operating systems.

  • It is the user's responsibility to ensure that the app has been downloaded and installed correctly and is working properly.

  • The user agrees to automatically receive and install updates to the Glimble app. Glimble does not guarantee that the app is free of errors, bugs, or viruses, nor that the app will be modified where it does not work properly or contains bugs.

  • You agree that Trieste Trasporti may maintain the app at any time.

  • You can view your trip options, save your trips, and receive travel assistant notifications for your trips: to receive these notifications, you must enable push notifications in the Glimble app.

  • Glimble notifications are based on data and information provided by transportation operators. Trieste Trasporti are not responsible for the content of such changes.

  • In order to use the post-payment services available in the Glimble app, you must activate the GPS location service on your smartphone.

Account

  • To travel with Glimble, you must have an account in the app. However, if you only intend to browse travel options, then you do not need to create an account.

  • Registering and logging into Glimble is free. Once you log in with your personal information, you are free to use the transportation services offered by Glimble at your own discretion. The user may be asked for additional data where necessary (for example, where car travel is involved and a driver's license is needed).

  • After creating an account and associating a payment method, you can purchase available trips and services. The user is responsible for any access to his/her account. The user is never entitled to any form of reimbursement if other people travel with their account.

  • The Glimble app displays several available travel options. These options may include one or more services provided by different transportation operators. The user is free to book some of these services and choose to ignore the others. The user is never obliged to book all the services offered.

  • The Glimble user can select from his or her account the preferred transportation services to be included among the options offered by Glimble: the cost of the options and services offered is always shown in advance.

  • The user of Glimble is responsible for keeping personal login credentials confidential.

  • The user is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of his/her data, including personal data, provided at the time of registration. Personal data can be changed at any time in the app.

  • Once the payment process for a trip is completed, the user will be entitled to benefit from the purchased service. The validity of the ticket and the related right to travel depend on the purchased transportation service.

Execution of the contract

  • When you have the right to travel on the booked or purchased transportation services, the Glimble app may direct you to the transportation service of your choice. In this case, another app may be required to benefit from the service. Such an app, where present, is referred to as a complementary app. Trieste Trasporti is not responsible for any bugs or other errors in complementary apps.

  • If you wish to use a transportation service, you may be required to agree, prior to payment, to the terms and conditions of the referring operator. In that case, both the terms and conditions of the referring operator and the terms and conditions of Glimble will apply. If there are conflicting provisions, Glimble's terms take precedence.

  • If you use public transportation with a ticket purchased through Glimble, the terms and conditions of the local urban, suburban, or regional public transportation service of the reference operator also always apply.

  • If you travel with a ticket that allows you to use local public transport services operated by Tpl Fvg in Friuli Venezia Giulia, the ticket is subject to the terms and conditions of the e-ticket and paper ticket that can be found in the travel regulations available at www.tplfvg.it

Obligations of the user

  • In order for the user to be able to make the trip, the user must always make payment for the trip. Where there is an option to cancel a trip, Trieste Trasporti have the right to charge the user for cancellation fees. Payment is not always made in a lump sum; for example, tickets for local public transport may be paid in advance when the reservation is completed, while some other services are paid for based on usage over time or kilometers traveled (and thus payment is made later). Depending on the provider, a reservation fee, security deposit, or other fees may be charged. Any charges are in any case communicated to the user in advance by Glimble.

  • Users may never cancel payments to which they are obligated or suspend their payments. Where there are outstanding payments, after due reminders have been made, Trieste Trasporti reserve the right to collect the payment including using third parties. Any collection costs will be charged to the user.

  • When traveling on a ticket purchased with Glimble, you must carry valid identification (passport, ID card or driver's license). Depending on the transportation system used, the minimum age required of users may vary (for example, if the user intends to use a car sharing service, he or she will be required to be of legal age and have a driver's license).

  • Transportation operators set their own rules for the use of their services. These rules may include provisions regarding liability for damage and theft. It is the user's responsibility to consult and abide by these conditions.

Payment Terms

  • You can purchase services and travel in Glimble using any of the payment methods offered in the app. Once a payment method has been selected and verified, it may also be used for all trips the user subsequently intends to purchase.

  • If the user is under the age of 18, they are required to seek permission from their parents or guardians to travel with the Glimble app. Parental or guardian consent counts as authorization to charge payments for services purchased on Glimble.

  • Tickets for public transportation services can be purchased directly in the Glimble app and paid for in advance by PayPal or credit card.

Personal data processing

  • We respect your privacy and treat the personal data we collect with the greatest possible care and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. How we protect your privacy is explained in our privacy policy, available at this link: https://www.glimble.it/privacy-statement

  • Our privacy policy explains what data we process, for what purpose, how we protect the data, how long we keep it, and your right to delete your data. Personal data are always collected and processed in accordance with our privacy policy.

  • With the user's consent, we collect travel data in pseudonymized form for research purposes: research data cannot be traced back to the user and therefore do not qualify as personal data.

Resolution and deletion

  • You can terminate your use of Glimble services at any time.

  • To terminate an account, you may refer to Glimble's privacy policy.

  • Trieste Trasporti reserve the right to terminate your use of Glimble services effective immediately and, if necessary, to terminate an account if: (a) the terms and conditions of service are not adhered to or are violated; (b) the terms and conditions of service imposed by a transportation operator providing a purchased service are not met, or if they are violated;

  • Once a trip or part of a trip has been booked and paid for, it can no longer be changed or cancelled through the Glimble app. Any changes can only be made by contacting Glimble's or the relevant transportation operator's customer service directly.

  • Any refunds or cancellations of a ticket depend on the transport operator who provided the trip, and whose terms and conditions one must refer to.

  • The period within which it is possible, if any, to cancel a trip depends on the transport operator that made the trip available, and to whose terms and conditions one must refer.

Responsibility

  • Trieste Trasporti is liable only for damages attributable to themselves.

  • Trieste Trasporti is not liable for any direct or indirect damages or losses arising out of or related to the installation, use, or inability to use the Glimble app. The app is made available to users without warranty.

  • Trieste Trasporti are responsible for generating tickets with which travel can be made.

  • Trieste Trasporti are only responsible for the loss, deletion, or alteration of data entered into the app, or for other circumstances that can be defined as a data breach, where the event was caused by Trieste Trasporti.

  • With the exception of local public transportation services operated by Trieste Trasporti on behalf of Tpl Fvg, Trieste Trasporti is in no way responsible for the performance of the trip booked through the Glimble app. Trieste Trasporti is also not responsible for any direct or indirect damage or loss that may arise from or be related to the trip. In no event shall Trieste Trasporti be liable for any damage caused by the travel information provided by the Glimble app.

  • No failure to comply with its obligations may be attributed to Trieste Trasporti where the failure is due to force majeure, which includes breach of contract by suppliers or third parties, extreme weather conditions, power outages, computer viruses, strikes, or other events or disasters.

  • Complaints against the service should be sent through the appropriate channels within a maximum of three months after the event. The complaint may also be handled by third parties in order to reach its resolution as quickly as possible.

Intellectual Property

  • All Glimble services made available to users are protected by intellectual property rights owned exclusively by Arriva. This includes, but is not limited to, copyrights, patent rights, trademark rights, and trade names used and created during the term of this agreement.

  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use these services in accordance with these terms and conditions of service. Arriva reserves the right to terminate such license at any time at its discretion.

  • Alteration or deletion of any indication of an intellectual property right, owned by Trieste Trasporti or owned by a third party in connection with the products and services offered is prohibited.

Applicable law and validity of terms of service.

  • These terms and conditions may be unilaterally modified at any time. If there are changes to the Glimble app, you will be notified and, where necessary, asked again to accept the terms and conditions of service. If you do not wish to accept the changes, your account will remain active but you will no longer be able to use the Glimble app services.

  • These Glimble terms and conditions of service were originally written in the Dutch language. Where these terms and conditions have been translated into other languages, the Dutch text takes precedence. The most recent version of Glimble's terms of service can be found at www.glimble.com
